About Jim Sullivan

Jim Sullivan is a dedicated and faithful public servant who serves as an elected board member for the Perry Township Board, representing District 1 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jim is served as a city council appointed board member to the Citizens Police Complaint Board.

A proud graduate Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio; Jim holds a B.A. in American History with a specialization in Soviet History. Additionally, Jim also holds a Masters of Science in Management degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Jim is a property manager working for locally owned Sexton Companies. He is married to his wife Jennie, who grew up in Perry Township. They have been married for 25 years and they have 3 sons. One attending Xavier University in the Honors PPP program. Another attending Purdue University in Lafayette studying Computer Engineering, and his youngest is attending Perry Meridian Middle School.

Jim has served in his local Church as Chairman of the Deacons, Adult Education Class Teacher, and Chairman of the Senior Pastor Search Committee. When he is not involved with family matters, Jim enjoys drawing, painting, reading and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. Jim is an avid triathlete and runner, completing more than two dozen triathlons, specializing in the Olympic Distance races. He has completed three 70.3 Ironman Distance Triathlons.

Jim is a tireless advocate for the Republican cause and has served many local and state wide candidates and campaigns. He is actively involved with the Republican Party serving both as a past and future Delegate to the State Party convention. Jim is also serving as a Precinct Committeeman, and Ward Chair inside Perry Township. In 2016-2020 Jim participated in a series of BBC video vignettes regarding U.S. Politics, the election, and several other current event topics. One of the videos garnered over one million views.

Jim always strives to do his best and give his best efforts to our Township. He deeply cares about this Township and views his position as something akin to a trust. Jim believes it is our responsibility to leave Perry Township better than we found it. He works to be the best steward possible for this community and is thrilled to be able to give back to a community that has given him so much!
