I appreciated the opportunity to speak with BBC News about how Americans are thinking about the possibility of conflict involving Iran.
Like many people, I have mixed feelings. The Iranian regime raises serious concerns, but the question of when and how the United States should involve itself in regime change or prolonged conflict is not simple.
I believe these decisions deserve careful debate and the participation of Congress, the people’s representatives. Democratic deliberation still matters.
